How to get here:
Higatangan Island is about 30 to 45 minutes of motorboat ride from the town of Naval, the capital of Biliran Province. Although Naval is the main and the most convenient access point because of its distance and availability of transportation, the island is also reachable via San Isidro, Leyte and Maya or Tapilon, Cebu. But it requires special/private trips because there is no regular transportation for the latter ports. The afternoon weather is the main concern in traveling to the island so there is ONLYone or two round trips in the morning and these daily town transportation departs at 12 Noon. A special/private trip is the only option for afternoon transport. To better manage time and convenience, the resort has the biggest and fastest motorboat available for pick up services. Keep in mind also that the regular transportation is most likely fully booked so plan ahead if your party is bigger than 5 people.Directions:
